Unlike most resentful conscripts, he genuinely believed ExoDyne’s propaganda about belt opportunities. Assigned to veteran Pavel as part of a cost-cutting “mentorship” program, he remained oblivious that his role was to absorb hazardous tasks while the cynical miner collected training bonuses.
